Williams & Williams Patches

Williams ans Williams runs a web site Nametags4U that makes many types of nametags (flight suit style), morale patches, flags, custom patches and Velcro, etc, etc.

The Velcro that the company can supply is available in precut shapes/sizes or can be custom cut by contacting the company. The Velcro can only be cut up to 4 in. in size due to the size of the Velcro the custom shape will be cut from. This Velcro is top quality and holds the patches very well.

The full size patches are also of excellent quality. The Velcro, again, is good quality, and the stitching holds up well. Patches and flags are available in many forms such as morale patches, flags, blood types, and many other styles. You'll notice in the pictures that the Foliage colored patches are slightly different than most of the other patches as it's hard to find a true foliage material to sew the patch design on. So, the company uses Foliage stitching to create the Foliage colored background and then puts the design on top of that.

One unique item from this company is their 1 in. x 2 in. morale patches. Most of these are the same in design as the full sized patches, but in a smaller size. These patches originated from pilots cutting the flap off their sleeve pockets which would leave behind a 1 in. x 2 in. piece of velcro, perfect for these small patches.

The patches by Williams & Williams have proven to be very durable, the velcro holds up well, and provide not only morale, but patches like blood type, name tags, and flags provide a valid function.

1800nametape products

These are just a small number of items sold by
1800nametape.com. You can find just about any name tape material/design that you would ever need at 1800nametape.com along with rank insignia, flags, IR products, name plates, dog tags, and support magnets.

One item I received is a
infrared subdued American flag with velcro backing. For those that aren't aware of what these are for...the IR flags will reflect the infrared light from an infrared illuminator that is used on night vision optics. This helps to identify friendly troops from enemy. These IR patches are referred to as IFF (identify friendly/foe) flags/patches. They will not reflect normal light at night, only IR light. They really stand out in NVDs. The velcro on this patch holds very well.
Note: I will update this post with night vision pictures of this flag patch when available.

The second items I received were digital woodland name tapes (no velcro backing) for my brother's airsoft uniform. These sew-on name tapes are Marine Corps spec name tapes. Placing them next to my name tapes from my issued MCCUU they are indistinguishable. Like the issued name tapes that are the digital woodland camouflage without the black portion of the camouflage to help you read the name on the tape (which is sewn in black thread).

The last items I received are a pair of multicam name tapes with velcro backing. With multicam becoming the "go-to" camo lately 1800nametape.com has got excellent quality multicam name tapes. The stitching on the name tapes is a brown color and is legible but blends in with the camo well enough to not stick out. The velcro on these name tapes holds very well.

One other thing that is not on their site yet that was included is a cool name tape key chain. It's got the 1800nametape name on one side and U.S. Marines on the other in digital desert. I've been using this since I got it to show my pride in the Marine Corps and can be ordered through the company, but the page for them isn't up yet. I will update this post when the page is created.

1800nametape.com really has almost everything you'd need in name tapes and ID tags. They provide fast service, quality products, and their website is super easy to navigate.

Prices for above items:
IR green Flag: $12.50
MCCUU Name Tapes (no velcro): $1.25 each (3 minimum order)
Multicam Name Tapes, with Velcro: $3.50 each

Williams & Williams Morale Stickers

Williams & Williams have created some really cool decals that can be bought on their site, Nametags4u.com. They have taken several morale patches, meters, flags and more and turned them into a durable decals that are hard to find anywhere else.

The decals come 4 to a strip and are digitally printed on adhesive backed vinyl, which is then laminated and cut using a computer controlled device. The decals will last outdoors without the laminate, but the laminate adds even more protection to the decal.

These decals can be removed and repositioned immediately following their application, however, after a couple days the glue bonds and removal will most likely result in damage to the decal. The decals work great on convex surfaces too without distortion to the decal.

I have placed these decals on several different items to test their durability, adhesion, and, well....cause they look awesome. I placed a calico jack on the bumper of my Avalanche to test it's durability in all 4 seasons here in NY. It's been on there for a couple months and hasn't shown any signs of wear yet. We will see what the winter temperatures, snow, and salt do. I also placed a subdued flag on a protec helmet used for work, a evil smiley on my son's jeep, which gets tons of use, and a subdued flag on the butt stock of my rifle.

These decals are really awesome. I will be ordering some in the near future for use on several items. They go where velcro morale patches can't, so you can put your morale anywhere.

Custom decals are also available.

MSRP: $2.00 per strip (4)

Milspecmonkey Monkey Patch

Milspecmonkey provides a lot of good info and reviews on military gear. Another thing he does is design his own gear and morale patches. The first patch that I've used from the monkey is the logo for his company...the milspec monkey logo. This patch is extremely well made. The embroidery is very good and the velcro is of great quality. It will definately not be coming off on accident. This is going to be one of my favorite morale patches. It's just very unique and I like supporting the milspec monkey site...so...this will be one of my most worn patches.

This patch (along with monkey's other patches) is available in full color or an array of tactical colors that match different camouflage patterns. The one displayed here is the forest color.

Milspec money also has a ton of other unique morale patches....go check them out...

MyDogTag

Mydogtag is a company that specializes....here it comes....wait for it...DOG TAGS!! This company can create dog tags for just about any occasion...from mil spec dog tags to pet tags, to promotional tags. You can write anything on them you want and they have such a wide variety of options beyond the standard dog tag. Great for motivational gifts for airsoft teams, paintball teams, or anything else you can think of.

I got one for my dog with contact info on it in case she gets lost. I opted for the braided wire for this tag instead of the traditional chain, as the traditional chain is designed to break away under only a couple pounds of pressure for safety reasons.

The options for the tag itself are: standard, matte, black, notched, and brass colored. The connector options are: standard dog tag chains, black chains, braided metal cord, key chain, or snap hook. The metal cord is a really cool item that can be used for a sturdy key chain. Just make sure it's tightened so it doesn't come apart.

As for the silencers, well, look on their site for color options because there are too many to list here. These silencers are a little softer than the standard military silencers, which makes them easier to put on the dog tag, but won't come off and seem like they'll hold up just as well.

If you need dog tags for mil use or just for novelty use....please look at this company...their options are great and you have a virtual preview (you can see one in my pictures below) of your tag before it's created.
