Shrink Tube Zipper Pull

I recently had to replace the zipper pull tab on a jacket due to it being damaged so I decided on making a rubber coated pull tab that I've seen one a few items before. It's pretty easy and only comprises of some 550 cord and heat shrink tubing used for splicing electrical wires.

After cutting off the original zipper pull tab from the zipper cut a piece of 550 cord to the length you need. Pull out the inner strands if need be. Then feed the cord through the zipepr pull. I then use a lighter to melt the ends of the cord to prevent fraying and also, while the cord is still hot, I pinch the two ends of the cord together so that they are attached . This not only prevents fraying but makes feeding the cord through the shrink tube easier. Then cut a length of shrink tube that will fit between the zipper and the knot that you will tie in the 550 cord. Feed the 550 cord through the shrink tube, tie a knot in the end of the 550 cord and then use a hair dryer on high to shrink the shrink tube.... that simple.

The perfect Day Terrorist Scenerio

This post has been updated with new Beslan Videos.
This segment pertains to the terrorist threat against our schools. If you have children this will, as Glenn Beck says "scare the bat snot out of you", but it will also help you to be prepared. The "perfect day" for the terrorist would involve not only an attack on the US, but also the aftermath of that attack, and the start of the radical Islamic jihad. This scenerio is similar to what happened in Besal Russia, which experts and terrorist leaders say was a test run for what will happen in the US. In 2004 over 30 (most likely close to 50, some escaped with the hostages) Al Qaeda terrorists took over a Russian elementary school and held it's occupants hostage for 3 days before Russian military stormed the school. When it was all said and done 344 civilians were killed, 186 of them children, hundreds more were raped, tortured and beaten. See interviews of Brad Thor by Glenn Beck below.

Coyote Color Comparison

This is a picture comparing different coyote colors by different manufacturers.
1 - 5.11 tactical pant
2 - Alta elbow pad - some spray paint added, but the coyote can be seen.
3 - Tru-Spec Ranger rac, some spray paint added but the coyote can be seen.
4 - Condor Outdoor pack
5 - Maxpedition phone pouch - this is their khaki color, but matches coyote more than some other "coyote" colors.
6 - To the right of the number is a coyote Grim Lok.
7 - Blackhawk Force 5 pack - is the coyote version, but appears to be more of a tan than coyote.
